Burried in Wayne, Nebraska. Died in Black Duck, MN where Harold Carlson had his first church. Albin came to the USA from Sweden at the age of 19 in the year of 1902. (He was 20 in November later that year). He located near Oakland, NE. He entered the USA by way of New York. Worked first winter in a lumber camp south of Duluth, Minnesota. January 4, 1907, he married Hildur Johnson. After 12 years of farming at Oakland and Lyons, NE, they purchased a farm near Wayne, NE, where Albin remained until death. They had 8 children, 6 of them born at Oakland, and 2 at Wayne, Nebraska. Albin gave his heart to Christ at meetings conducted by Evangelist Luke Rader. He became an active Christian and sought to bring his children up in the ways of the Lord, praying that each would accept his Savior as their own. He often said that had he been saved earlier in life he would have gone into the ministry. God honored him by calling 4 of his sons and one daughter into the ministry. Albin joined the Evangelical Free Church at Concord, Nebraska where he served actively as the teacher of the Swedish Adult Bible Class until his health made this impossible. Much of his activities had to be curtailed due to a severe type of asthma. This caused his death at the early age of 61 years - July 22, 1944. He was survived by his wife, Hildur and 8 children - Loren, Eunice, Ruth, Reuben, Ivan, Arthur, Verna, and Harold; also 15 grandchildren. Rev. Oran Swaback officiated at the funeral and interment was in the Concord, Nebraska cemetery. His sould is at home with the Lord whom he loved.
